Events Center
The Bannock County Event Center is situated 80+ acres overlooking the cities of Pocatello & Chubbuck, as well as the surrounding areas. It is dedicated to promoting health and wellness and provides multipurpose facilities for public use. The Event Center provides multiple venues for activities including:
Indoor arena
The indoor arena is as comfortable as it is versatile. Ideal for equine events, trainings, clinics, rodeos and auctions. The 240 X 120 facility provides seating for 500 spectators with an elevated announcers’ area with complete sound system. This is the perfect place for your year round riding. Individual and family passes are available for a daily, monthly, 6 month or yearly rate.
Grandstand and Paddock
Enjoy Idaho weather at this outdoor facility, complete with covered grandstands and adjacent animal housing facilities. Rodeos, horse racing, motorcycle events, demolition derbies, and circuses, are just a few of the many events held in our 250 X 190 arena with announcer areas available on either side of the arena and seating for 3,500 plus. Live horse racing is a big attraction for this area of our facility. There are new state of the art paddocks, a wagering area and shaded tables for your racing enjoyment. There is also space for indoor and outdoor vendors, a concession area and a beer garden.
Outdoor Arenas
There are 3 outdoor arenas for use at the Event Center – each is unique in its own way to fit the needs of the diverse groups that recreate here.
Event Center Rules
- Overnight horses, or horses brought in after hours for monthly boarding can be placed in open barn until a box stall can be opened – do not cut locks.
- Payments can be made at office or deposeited in drop box – located throughout the facility.
- Sawdust is the only bedding allowed (can be purchased through Event Center Office).
- Sawdust piles in brn rows are privat property of year round boarders.
- Wakers are private popert of year round boarders.
- Stalls must be kept clean.
- No parking within 50 ft. of horse walkers
- No RV’s in barn area. No vehicles plugged into barns.
- No horses in grassy area.
- No unauthorized vehicles inside of buildings.
- Horses not to be left unattended in arenas.
- Do not tie horses to arena rails.
- Anyone using arenas or grack during open riding time, must vacate as soon as scheduled patrons arrive or equipment enters arena or track area.
- Patron is respoisible for all clean-up and/or damages to facility – required clean-up includes litter inside buidings, arenas, alleyways, around outside of buiding. Users must clean up after livestock in barns.
- Liability insurance may be required depeding on type of event.
- No security provided – Bannock County is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged articles.
